AndaluciaNerja in the south of Spain in Andalucia, is where the mountains of the Sierra Almijara come down and meet the sea. It is a Spanish town, not a tourist' town, in a spectacular setting between the foothills of the mountains and the sparkling Mediterranean. A place where clear fresh mountain water flows in abundance, making the village a paradise of trees, flowers and colour, all year round. It lies in one of Spain's richest farming areas; abundant with fruit, vegetables and flowers; this is known as the Garden of Europe. It is an area of outstanding beauty situated in the midst of a tropical valley with olive groves, avocado trees, fields of wild strawberries and a huge variety of exotic plants.

Nerja is essentially a Spanish village, with a kind and friendly community. A stroll through the narrow white-washed streets will uncover interesting court-yards, colourful shops and local people simply sitting in the sun, the typical Nerja atmosphere, unhurried and relaxed.

AndaluciaEach day we will deliver you fresh bread from the local bakery and will supply cereals, milk etc. for your breakfast and we will have picnic lunches on the beach or by the pool. We have included 2 evening meals. These will probably be buffet style party meals around the pool. On other evenings we will arrange to eat out together in one of the many restaurants and traditional Tapas bars with delicious food and friendly service. And we will try one of the typically Andalusian beach restaurants where we can enjoy anything from freshly grilled sardines (a local speciality!) to Spain's finest Paella, having just watched it being freshly prepared over a wood fire.

This is our perfect holiday spot - close to town and beach. We have reserved a number of two bedroom properties arranged around the shared pool and gated garden. A 5 minutes stroll to the Burriana beach - Nerja's main beach and a similar length of a walk into the centre of town.

Each family of 3 or more will have their own pueblo style house. Each 2 person family will have a twin room in a house share with another 2 person family. We will match you up with similar age/sex children unless you request otherwise.

Much of our time will be spent on the fantastic beach or around the pool, where we can organise games. But we will visit the famous caves in Nerja and arrange tours perhaps to one of the pretty mountain villages, such as Frigiliana. If you want to do some exploring on your own, car hire is cheap but remember to bring your driving licence.
