Weekends and holidays... Just4You · for singles and solo travellersA new trip for 2009
**Please note the local payment is part of the holiday cost and is payable on arrival in resort. We have to make some payments in cash in resort and by collecting this part of the holiday cost in this way we are able to keep our overall prices down.
*All prices are subject to confirmation, new holidays and weekends may have been added to the programme. Flights and flight supplements For overseas holiday the price is inclusive of air fares. Flight supplements may apply for regional airports. Bookings received before the end of December for holidays to be taken the following May or later will not be subject to flight supplements. After that the normal regional flight supplement will be £35 per person. It is always advisable to book early to minimise flight supplements. Airlines often increase prices as flights fill so the earlier you book the lower the flight supplement is likely to be. All our holidays are group holidays accompanied by a Just4you coordinator who will be there to welcome you and make sure you have a fun time. 3-10 April 2010, Competa, Andalucia, Southern Spain Price: £659 Single supplement if required £60 Local payment 145 €** More details available at just4yousinglesholidays Andalucia in Southern Spain is one of the prettiest areas of Spain. We stay in Competa, one of the white mountain villages in the Tejeda National Park, just an hour's drive from Malaga airport. The area is great for walking in the Sierras Tejeda and Almijarra with stunning scenery and views down to the sea and on a clear day to Morocco. Walks will take you through groves of olives, oranges, lemons, avocados, almonds and the muscatel grape, which is used to make the famous Competa wine. Competa is also known for its honey from bees, whose hives you will spot on the mountain walks. You will be captivated by butterflies, which can be seen taking pollen from the many varieties of wild flowers. The area is lush and green due to the system of irrigation channels used to water the terraces, where the villagers grow vegetables. Mules are still used to carry produce and wood for the fires. Life here is very peaceful and relaxing. We stay in several village houses in Competa all are close to the Plaza in the centre of the village. Some are several hundred years old. There are twin rooms, and some singles (subject to supplement). In the evenings, we eat out together in one of the many restaurants, which serve excellent food, with typical Andalucian dishes. The wine is good and cheap too. The area is great for walking and great for photography. Jackie will be on hand to lead a walk on most days, Steve will be on hand to offer advice on photography, whether you have a digital or manual SLR or compact camera. The area offers numerous photographic opportunities; whitewashed villages with their whitewashed walls, windows, doorways, roofs and narrow streets; Mountain scenery offers a wonderful landscape with olive trees, orange groves, spring flowers and all are within easy walking. Steve will be on hand to offer help and advice in the form of in-the-field talks, demonstrations, one-to-ones, review sessions and discussions. We can visit the pretty whitewashed village of Frigiliana with narrow streets and Nerja on the coast, which are within easy reach. There will be an optional excursion to Granada and a visit to the Moorish Alhambra palace with its intricately carved ceilings and arches. The price includes flights, transfers to and from Malaga airport in Spain, accommodation, breakfast, evening meals and picnic lunches. (Breakfast and picnic lunches will be on a self-serve basis but all the ingredients for continental breakfast and picnic lunch will be provided. Each morning fresh bread will be delivered to your house.) Evening meals are included and taken together in local restaurants. Prices are based on 2 sharing a twin room. Flights are from Gatwick, Manchester or Birmingham but may also be available from other regional airports on request. Your Just for You holiday Coordinators for the week will be Jackie and Steve.

Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced skiers
Skiing in the French Pyrenees is relatively unknown in the UK, remaining a well kept secret by the French. There are no large Tour Operators here. The Pyrenees are wonderful for skiing with more snow annually than the Alps, because of their proximity to the Atlantic coast. Weather conditions are ideal with high pressure systems bringing clear blue skies, interspersed with heavy snowstorms to revive the slopes. As a result, the Tourmalet resort has a long season from the beginning of December through to the end of March. Recent large investments in snow-making equipment should guarantee snow. Pyrenean skiing, especially in the Tourmalet area, is excellent for beginners and intermediate skiers as well as more advanced skiers. There are gentle nursery slopes and beautiful, wide runs giving access to every area of the resort. The twin resorts of Barèges and the newer, La Mongie have 100km of runs, 42 ski lifts and 69 pistes. Beginner to intermediate skiers have 24 green and 20 blue runs, making it possible to visit all of the five inter-connected ski areas without straying onto anything too challenging. For advanced skiers there are 20 red runs, and 5 blacks, as well as huge off-piste potential.
Relax and unwind at the Thermal Baths in Barèges
Barèges was first established as a spa resort (the thermal waters were first discovered in the 15th century), and the recently-refurbished thermal baths are just a short walk away from the hotel, offering a range of options for invigorating, relaxing or pampering yourself.
Our Accommodation
We stay half board in a small comfortable 2 star hotel right in the centre of Barèges village. All rooms are en suite. For much of the ski season you can ski back to the village via a blue-run through deciduous woodland or a green run following the river. Barèges is just a ten minute ride on the free ski bus to the slopes. The ski bus stops regularly just metres from the hotel. There are several ski and sports shops, a bakery, a cash point, post office and small super-market all close-by. Barèges has plenty of bars, cafés and restaurants offering good local cuisine. The village is lively, but is not a rowdy ski resort. Many people ski here to get away from the crowds in the Alps and to experience the relative peace of this traditional mountain village.
Just4You Holiday Fun
The trip will be accompanied by Just4You coordinators, Jackie and Steve, who will be able to help you organise your ski hire, ski pass and book ski lessons. Over dinner there will be a chance for us to exchange our days' experiences on the slopes.

Mango Holidays sometimes referred to as MangoKids run holidays for single parents with their children. Small families with just one or two children are often penalised by the big tour operators who charge for two adults. Mango is the only tour operator to offer a discount to these small families for all children up to the age of 16 travelling with just one adult. Going on a Mango Holiday is an opportunity for single parents to meet other single parents and many single parents become friends and stay in touch after their holiday. Mango is not a single parent dating organisation. If you are interested in single parent dating you should check out our links page, which recommends a few organisations helping single parents meet. Being single with kids can be a daunting experience but it can be fun and we have designed a programme of holidays and weekend breaks for solo travellers with children to make sure they have some fun. Our solo holidays for single parents with children consist of adventure and activity breaks, ski holidays and holidays in the sun. Mango single parent holidays take place in the UK and overseas. In the UK we have holidays in Devon, Brecon Beacons and Pembrokeshire and we have a Christmas Party weekend in Warwickshire at the end of November. Mango holidays for single parent families overseas travel to Mallorca, Malta, Cyprus, Jersey, Morocco and Lapland to see Santa.
